Internship
For Internship opportunities please email

Use "internship" as subject line

Internships need to be approved prior to the start of each semester, by the Historical Society and the school in which you attend.

The Historical Society has had several interns from Dominican University in River Forest and UIC in Chicago.  Internship projects have included Archives and collection maintenance and various historical research topics.
Volunteer
There are many ways in which the Historical Society could use volunteers to help promote its mission of "collecting, preserving, and sharing" the wonderful history of Forest Park.  As a volunteer, you could be come in weekly, monthly, or at special events.  The Historical Society has many needs; such as, website/social media communication, research projects, general office, collection/Archives maintenance, tour guide, exhibit docent, special event/programming planning, and much more
