On Tuesday, December 1, 2015 the Historical Society is asking the public to donate to the organization. The Society is hoping to receive $1,000 or more in one day. If the Society reaches its $1,000 goal, then the money will be matched; so, in essence your donation will be doubled, making it possible for the organization to continue planning and organizing quality programs, events and displays.
The Historical Society is partnering with thousands of other non-profit charity groups on this same day in order to promote the growing movement of philanthropy throughout the world. The concept gained steam, and with the help of the United Nations Foundation and other founding partners, more than 10,000 organizations have joined the movement and are providing creative ways people can embrace #GivingTuesday and collaborate in their giving efforts to create more meaningful results.
The Historical Society of Forest Park wants you, the public, to help in its endeavor to continue collecting, preserving and sharing the history of Forest Park. The only way it can do that is if the public is willing and able to support its efforts. We need support via volunteers, members, event participants and donors. Please consider donating to the Historical Society on Tuesday, December 1, 2015. As you are preparing for the Holidays, please remember us and the other local non-profit groups and organizations.
